Activity on the Ground
Analysis of the urban space with an emphasis on promoting walkability, using “Mar’eh-Makom” an index designed to encourage walkability in the city introduced by the Israeli Green Building Council (ILGBC).
Analysis of users’ needs using a mapping tool (participatory mapping based on PPGIS MMG – this questionnaire is a collection and analysis tool that allows residents to share information about their living environments and actually pin it on an online map, and in this sense become experts in their surroundings.
Analysis of the needs of the elderly through “Our Voice”-JDC Israel. The program is based on the participation of senior citizens in shaping the space through an intervention model and technology that allows them to stroll around their neighborhood, document and photograph factors that encourage or hinder walkability.
Integrated work in a broad and multi-sectoral partnership to identify and improve the public spaces in the city.
